13 October 2020, Vilnius. Inreal Group has started the reconstruction of the administrative building located in Pavilnys Regional Park, A. Kojelavičiaus str. 1, next to the kindergarten (children's education centre) developed in 2019. After the reconstruction, the new A+ energy class premises of 1210 square meters will house the Diemedis School for 5th-8th grade students. The project is planned to be completed in the third quarter of 2021. Investments in the reconstruction will amount to 1.7 million euros. The project is financed by Šiaulių Bankas.
"The overall success of the kindergarten and primary school project motivated us to continue the conversion of the area in order to create spaces for the older students of Diemedis School right next to the educational institution designed for smaller children. We will keep the same architectural style and idea in order to integrate the building into its environment as much as possible, as well as bring nature into the interior of the premises," says Gediminas Pruskus, Head of Inreal Group.
The project is being developed within the territory of the Plant Centre Multiflora (outdoor floriculture test station). Next to the school building there will be a 100 m running track and a 1000 sq. m. sports and event field. The architect of the project is Marius Morkūnas (MB Kūnas).
"Diemedis has a strong value system that is passed on to the children educated here. We want all the positive things that are created in the kindergarten and primary classes to have a continuation in our school," says Virgilijus Pupeikis, the director of Diemedis. According to him, private kindergartens and schools create a variety of choices and fill niches in the general education system for children. This diversity is one of the most important things a state can provide to families raising children as well as to the next generation of its citizens.
The school will be equipped with a geothermal heating and cooling system (depending on the time of year).
The installed high-efficiency recuperative ventilation system creates a comfortable microclimate indoors. The cloakroom has heated walls for efficient drying of clothes. High and large windows will expand the indoor spaces with wonderful views of nature. Only high-quality, energy-saving materials that meet the highest environmental requirements will be used in the developed building.
