Renovated-reconstructed 17-19th century warehouses (Turgaus Str. 37A, Klaipėda) on the bank of the River Danė (Dangė) became as cosy accommodation spaces. “Dangės krantinės” consist of 13 flats and apartments with the total space ranging from 48 sq. m to 175 sq. m as well as 4 commercial premises from 34 sq. m to 77 sq. m. The end of the Project – the 3nd half of 2018.
The interior wooden frame structures will be renovated on the buildings as cultural heritage subject to protection. Worthless red masonry façade will be replaced by decorative clinker tiles on the exterior walls and wooden trusses typical to the architecture of the port city restored based on the remaining fragments and analogues. Roofing will be made of clay tiles. An extra sum of approximately 200 000 Euros has been planned for investments in arrangement of the territory and its archaeological research.
